Price of Russian gas for Moldova a about $1,012 per 1,000 cbm in March - Moldovagaz CEO

CHISINAU. March 1 (Interfax) - The purchase price of Russian gas for Moldova will be $1,011.73 per 1,000 cubic meters, Moldovagaz board chairman Vadim Ceban said on his Telegram channel.

All supplied gas will be directed to Transdniestria.

Ceban said earlier that the preliminary purchase price of Russian gas for Moldova stood a $1,045 per 1,000 cubic meters in February and about $1,230 per 1,000 cubic meters in January.

It was reported earlier that since December 4, Moldova has been sending all gas received from Gazprom to Transdniestria, which, in turn, covers around 60% of Moldovan demand for electric power. Moldova uses gas from its earlier created reserves and purchases it on the market to meet its own needs for gas.
