Russia registers 9,753 new cases of Covid-19, 35 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ

MOSCOW. Feb 28 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 9,753 new cases of Covid-19 and 35 related deaths over the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Tuesday.

Russia "has recorded 9,753 new cases of Covid-19 and 2,053 patients have been hospitalized over the day, up 161.2% from the day before," the headquarters said.

According to the headquarters, the number of hospitalizations increased in 70 Russian constituent territories, declined in eight, and remained unchanged in seven.

The daily morbidity has grown by 173 cases from 9,580 recorded on Monday.

Thirty-five patients died from Covid-19 over the past day, versus 30 the day before.

"Another 14,365 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours, up 55.3% from February 27," the headquarters said.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Russia has seen a total of 22,272,470 cases of Covid-19, including 396,100 deaths and 21,614,852 recoveries.
