Zelensky would like to hold Latin America-Ukraine summit

MOSCOW. Feb 27 (Interfax) - Latin America could hold a summit with Ukraine, the country's President Vladimir Zelensky said.

"Latin America is very important, I would very much like to do a conference, would like to do a meeting, a summit of Latin American countries and Ukraine," Zelensky was quoted by Ukrainian media as telling a press conference in Kiev last Friday.

Ukraine should take steps towards African countries, he also said.

"For years we were doing a very poor job, not paying attention, this was a big mistake. So, a special program has been adopted to expand our ambassadorial presence in the region," Zelensky said.

Ukraine would like to engage India and China in its peace formula, he said.

"We need security guarantees," Zelensky said.
