Former Gazprom executive Andrey Dmitriev acquires part of Volga Gas assets

MOSCOW. Feb 22 (Interfax) - Former Gazprom executive Andrey Dmitriev has become the owner of a part of Volga Gas production assets in the Saratov Region and Bashkiria.

He became the owner of 100% of shares in Prikaspiyskaya Gazovaya Kompaniya LLC (PGK) and Geopotential LLC (directly and through PGK), according to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.

According to Rosgeolfond, PGK owns valid licenses for four areas in the Saratov Region (Novouzensky, Grigoryevsky, Urozhayny-2 and Karpensky), as well as the Muradymovsky license area in Bashkortostan.

These companies were previously owned by Vladimir Paliy. He is also the owner of Gaznefteservis LLC (Zhirnovsk, Volgograd Region) operating under the Volga Gas brand, with licenses for the Dobrinsky and Vostochno-Makarovsky blocks. No changes in participation in this company have been announced thus far.

In 2021, Volga Gas was bought out by GEM Capital Holdings and delisted from the London Stock Exchange.

PGK more than tripled its revenues to 1.547 billion rubles in 2021 and posted its first net profit in many years - 70 million rubles.

Dmitriev was the long-time head of Gazprom Gazenergoset, a single operator for selling LPG and petroleum products from Gazprom's gas processing plants; he later served as first deputy head of the Gazprom department responsible for marketing gas and refined products. In 2019-2020, he headed up Gazprom Gas Engine Fuel LLC.

Dmitriev's private entities are engaged in the implementation of LNG projects in the Far East (Aurora LNG) and hydrocarbon trading (since 2021, he owns Neftegazbroker).
