Aqualife Resource might acquire Kellogg's Russian business

MOSCOW. Feb 22 (Interfax) - Aqualife Resource has filed an application with Russia's Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) for preliminary approval to acquire the Kellogg Co.'s Russian division, Kellogg Rus LLC, the regulator reported.

Kellogg Rus (Voronezh) is one of the largest producers of breakfast cereals, cookies and crackers in Russia. Its brands include Lyubyatovo, Unicorn, Dinosaurs, ChocoZavr and Extra.

Aqualife Resource is owned by Management Technologies LLC, a company based in Chernogolovka, Moscow Region that owns Aqua Life, Global Snack, Detskoye Pitaniye, the Altai candy factory and other food businesses, data from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities showed. Management Technologies, in turn, is owned by UK SK LLC, the beneficiary of which is Alexei Chetvergov.

U.S. food giant Kellogg, founded in 1906, has about 60 divisions in 17 countries and sells its products in 180 countries.
