Sber becomes minority shareholder in IT company that provides transport logistics services
MOSCOW. Feb 21 (Interfax) - Sber has entered the capital of a company that provides services and IT services in the area of transport logistics.
Sberbank Investments has obtained 1% of Tracker Group LLC, according to the Unified State Registry of Legal Entities (USRLE).
The purpose of the deal is to develop and solidify partnerships for digitalizing the freight transportation market, Sberbank said in a statement.
"Digitalization plays a huge role in both economic and research and technological development in Russia. As a recognized expert in the field of digital products and services, Sber is ready to support partners seeking to develop the area and to provide their clients with services at the highest level," Andrei Dobrynin, Sberbank's investment activities department director, was quoted as saying in the statement.
"We see an ongoing trend in digitalizing the industry, which, together with foreign vendors exiting the market, opens up excellent opportunities for growth. The main task in the coming years will be to become the undisputed leader in software solutions for the logistics market," Tracker Group CEO Kirill Kochanov added.
Tracker Group LLC is a leader in the field of software for transportation management systems, TMS. The company offers internet solutions in the area of software for auto and railway logistics.
