Russia sees 11,277 new Covid-19 case, 38 related deaths in past day - HQ

MOSCOW. Feb 21 (Interfax) - Russia has recorded 11,277 new cases of Covid-19 and 38 related deaths over the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Tuesday.

Russia "has registered 11,277 new cases of Covid-19 and 1,830 patients have been hospitalized over the day, up 186.4% from the day before," the headquarters said.

There were 639 coronavirus-related hospitalizations on Monday.

The number of such hospitalizations increased in 71 Russian constituent territories, declined in ten, and remained unchanged in four, it said.

The daily morbidity has decreased by 799 cases from 12,076 recorded on Monday. The morbidity curve has been on decline for fourth consecutive day.

Thirty-eight coronavirus-related deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours versus 30 the day before.

"Another 13,994 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours, up 66.6% from February 20," the headquarters said.

Russia's Covid-19 caseload since the beginning of the pandemic stands at 22,189,988, including 395,867 deaths and 21,527,201 recoveries.
