EC scraps anti-dumping duty Ukrainian hot-rolled steel coils

MOSCOW. Feb 17 (Interfax) - The European Commission on Friday decided to cancel the anti-dumping duty on imports of Ukrainian hot-rolled steel coils, set at 60.5 euros per tonne, Ukrainian media reported, quoting the Ukrmetallurgprom association's website.

The anti-dumping duty on Ukrainian hot-rolled coil was imposed on October 7, 2017 for five years. It was suspended on June 4, 2022 until June 5, 2023 in order to support the Ukrainian economy.

"This duty has now been canceled entirely, which will give Ukrainian rolled metal products a more stable presence in the markets of the EU countries," Ukrmetallurgprom said.
