Gazprom to begin gas production at Kharasaveyskoye field in 2024

SALEKHARD. Feb 17 (Interfax) - Gazprom Dobycha Nadym is due to begin commercial gas production at the Kharasaveyskoye field in 2024, the company's CEO Dmitry Shchegolev said during a teleconference with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the occasion of Gazprom's 30th anniversary on Friday.

"We plan to begin commercial gas production at Kharasavey in 2024. Kharasavey will add another 32 billion cubic meters of gas per year to Gazprom's balance sheet," Shchegolev said.

The Kharasaveyskoye gas condensate field is located on the Yamal Peninsula north of the Bovanenkovo field, mostly onshore on the peninsula and partially offshore in the Kara Sea. Its development began in March 2019. In terms of gas reserves, it is in a unique category - 2 trillion cubic meters (the sum of C1 and C2 reserves). The design production level of the Cenomanian-Apian deposits is 32 billion cubic meters per year.
