Russia registers 15,359 new cases of Covid-19, 38 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ
MOSCOW. Feb 17 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 15,359 new cases of Covid-19, which is the highest number since mid-October 2022, and 38 related deaths over the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Friday.
Russia "has recorded 15,359 new cases of Covid-19 and 1,510 patients have been hospitalized over the day, down 0.4% from the day before," the headquarters said.
According to the headquarters, the number of hospitalizations increased in 43 Russian constituent territories, declined in 33, and remained unchanged in nine.
The daily morbidity has grown by 619 cases from 14,740 recorded on Thursday. This is the highest number since October 13, 2022, when Russia saw over 15,400 infections.
Thirty-eight patients died from Covid-19 over the past day, versus 37 the day before.
"Another 11,245 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours, up 0.9% from February 16," the headquarters said.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Russia has seen a total of 22,137,084 cases of Covid-19, including 395,727 deaths and 21,484,054 recoveries.
