Agricultural output in Belarus grows 3.4% in Jan
MINSK. Feb 15 (Interfax) - Output by farms of all categories in Belarus grew 3.4% at constant prices in January 2023 to 1.6 billion Belarusian rubles at current prices, the National Statistical Committee (Belstat) said.
Agricultural organizations raised output 3.8% in constant prices in January to 1.56 billion rubles.
Output of cattle and poultry in live weight at farms of all categories totaled 154,700 tonnes - up 5.3% year-on-year; of milk - 665,000 tonnes - up 3.4%.
As of February 1, 2023, agricultural organizations had 4.1 million head of cattle, including 1.4 million cows; and 2.3 million pigs.
Agricultural production in Belarus increased by 3.6% in 2022.
