Russian Air Transport Agency negotiating resumption of flights from Far East to Vietnam

MOSCOW. Feb 14 (Interfax) - The Russian Federal Air Transport Agency or Rosaviatsia is negotiating the resumption of flights from the Russian Far East to Vietnam, the agency's head, Alexander Neradko, said at a meeting of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy on Tuesday.

"We are working methodically to restore international air traffic. Negotiations with Vietnam are next up," Neradko said.

He said the launch of flights to Thailand with a stopover in Laos was being discussed.

"Our colleagues from Laos would very much like a plane of ours, which flies, say, from Russia to Thailand, to make a stopover in Laos, so that it can take more passengers. Companies are now studying this route," Neradko told reporters.
