Qazaq Air resumes flights from Astana to Novosibirsk
NOVOSIBIRSK. Feb 14 (Interfax) - The Kazakh airline Qazaq Air has resumed flights from Astana to Novosibirsk, the press service of Novosibirsk's Tolmachevo Airport, which is part of the Novaport holding, said.
"There are two flights a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, starting from February 14; and there will be three a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, from February 23," it said.
They will be carried out by De Havilland Dash-8-Q400NG aircraft.
According to the airport's website, Qazaq Air is the only airline flying from Novosibirsk to Astana.
The airport's press office told Interfax that flights were suspended from the beginning of the winter schedule, on the last Sunday of October 2022, but it did not say why.
Tolmachevo is one of Russia's biggest airports by passenger traffic. It handled 7.585 million passengers in 2022, up 12.2% from 2021. The airport has two runways and three terminals.
