Ukraine's ex-first deputy economy minister heads up Ukrnafta's strategy, development, GR dept

MOSCOW. Feb 14 (Interfax) - Denis Kudin, who recently resigned from the post of Ukraine's first deputy economy minister, has been appointed to head the Ukrnafta company's department for strategy, development and government relations (GR), Ukrnafta director Sergei Koretsky said.

"We are continuing to build the dream team of Ukrnafta. Another strong player has joined our team. We had a good record of joint work in the past. I am confident that we will do a lot of good now as well," Ukrainian media outlets quoted Koretsky as saying in a social media post.

Kudin, in turn said, that he plans to "focus entirely on the fuel front." He worked with Koretsky for the WOG chain of filling stations in 2013-2018.

As reported, on November 5, the headquarters of the supreme commander-in-chief decided to forfeit to the state as military property the shares of Ukrnafta (excluding the controlling stake of Naftogaz). Prior to that move, the companies of Igor Kolomoisky and Gennady Bogolyubov had owned around 42% of Ukrnafta shares.

Ukrnafta holds 85 special licenses for the production of hydrocarbons and its balance sheet includes 1,791 oil and 147 gas wells. The company also owns 537 filling stations, 449 of which were operating as of late December 2022.
