Ukrainian grain exports fall 28.7% in marketing year so far to 29.2 mln tonnes - ministry

MOSCOW. Feb 13 (Interfax) - Ukraine has exported 29.16 million tonnes of grains since the 2022-2023 marketing year began on July 1, the Ukrainian media reported, citing a statement from the Ukrainian Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry posted on its website.

Grain exports this marketing year are 28.65% below last year, as 40.81 million tonnes of grains were exported between July 1 and February 13 in the previous agricultural year, the ministry said.

Ukraine has exported 16.72 million tonnes of corn since the beginning of the marketing year, down 3.7%, 10.39 million tonnes of wheat, down 40.8%, 1.94 million tonnes of barley, down 64.8%, 13,400 tonnes of rye, down 91.5%, and 89,500 tonnes of flour, up 38.1%.

Grain exports since the start of February totaled 2.19 million tonnes, including 1.04 million tonnes of corn, 653,000 tonnes of wheat, 126,000 tonnes of barley, 1,000 tonnes of rye and 7,100 tonnes of flour.

Average daily exports in the period February 3-13 were 170,700 tonnes of grain, for the period January 27-February 3 - 209,400 tonnes, for January 20-27 - 121,100 tonnes, for January 9-20 - 140,000 tonnes and for January 2-9 - 121,700 tonnes per day.
