USAID support for Ukraine's budget system reaches $13 bln

MOSCOW. Feb 13 (Interfax) - The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has provided $13 billion in direct budget support for the Ukrainian social sector, particularly its healthcare workers, educators, and first responders, Ukrainian media reported with reference to USAID Ukraine.

"USAID has provided $13 billion in direct budget support to help Ukraine's doctors, educators, and first responders serve their communities," USAID Ukraine said on social media.

USAID Deputy Administrator Isobel Coleman and the Ukrainian Finance Ministry "expressed the U.S.' and Ukraine' commitment to transparent and accountable use of funds," it said.
