IAEA monitoring mission undergoes rotation at Khmelnitsky NPP, no remarks - NPP director

MOSCOW. Feb 13 (Interfax) - A mission of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has undergone rotation at the Khmelnitsky nuclear power plant, the plant fully complies with nuclear safety standards, Khmelnitsky NPP General Director Andrei Kozyura said.

"A permanent mission of the IAEA is continuing its work at the Khmelnitsky NPP. Agency representatives underwent rotation on February 9. The IAEA representatives confirmed at the final meeting that the Khmelnitsky NPP complied with safety benchmarks and made no remarks on its operation," the Ukrainian media quoted Kozyura as saying on a social network.

IAEA monitoring missions earlier underwent rotations at the South Ukrainian NPP on February 6 and at the Rovno and Chernobyl NPPs on February 4.

The IAEA has deployed permanent monitoring missions at all Ukrainian nuclear power plants at a formal request from the Ukrainian government.
