Singer Zemfira, former MP Dmitry Gudkov added to Russian register of foreign agents

MOSCOW. Feb 10 (Interfax) - The Russian Ministry of Justice has added singer Zemfira (Ramazanova), and former State Duma member Dmitry Gudkov and political scientist Abbas Gallyamov, both currently staying abroad, to the register of foreign agents.

The register of foreign agents was updated at the Justice Ministry website late on Friday.

Journalist Sergei Aslanyan, author Alexandra Kazantseva, founder of Nasiliu.Net project (designated as a foreign agent in Russia) Anna Rivina, opposition activist Tatyana Namazbayeva and scientist Sergei Shpilkin were also placed on the list on Friday.

According to the Russian Ministry of Justice, "Ramazanova openly spoke out in support of Ukraine, while giving concerts in unfriendly countries with calls against the special military operation, and received support from foreign sources."

"Gudkov called for providing arms to Ukraine, introducing restrictive measures in relation to Russia, participated on information platforms provided by foreign entities as an expert and a respondent. Dmitry Gudkov is dwelling outside of the Russian Federation," the ministry said in a release.

"Gallyamov has distributed materials crated by foreign agents among an unlimited circle of persons, spoken against the special military operation in Ukraine, participated as an expert and a respondent on information platforms provided by foreign entities," it said.
