Aeroflot to start flying to Ganja, Azerbaijan in March

MOSCOW. Feb 10 (Interfax) - Aeroflot plans to launch regular flights from Moscow to Ganja, Azerbaijan, beginning on March 5, the press service of the Russian flagship carrier said in a statement.

Flights will operate once per week using Airbus A320 aircraft.

As noted, Ganja will become the second city in Azerbaijan to which Aeroflot operates flights. The airline currently operates its own flights to Baku from Moscow and St. Petersburg, and its subsidiary, Rossiya Airlines, operates flights from Sochi.

Ganja is a popular tourist destination, and it is Azerbaijan's largest industrial and educational center.
