Duma Budget Committee to look at 'very serious' amendments to oil sector taxation on Monday - Makarov

MOSCOW. Feb 9 (Interfax) - The State Duma Budget Committee plans to look over the amendments to the Tax Code prepared by the government at the session on Monday which will be dedicated to the tax obligations of the oil sector and the work of the damper mechanism, committee head Andrey Makarov said.

"Next Monday's committee will be practically obligatory because we have to consider the government's amendments, and I can say once, there will be very serious amendments connected with the tax code, primarily for...you know, all the oil industry issues, the damper, and all those issues," the deputy said at the committee's Thursday session.

"The government has prepared its proposals, and today the government has been looking them over, and most likely it's our turn next Monday," he said.
