Wildberries opens third logistics center in Belarus

MINSK. Feb 9 (Interfax) - Wildberries has opened a third logistics center in Belarus in order to expand cooperation with local businesses, the online retailer said in a press release.

"The online retailer continues to develop on the country's territory jointly with local entrepreneurs. A large 13,000-sqm Wildberries' logistics facility has opened in the Minsk region," according to the press release.

Wildberries believes that by opening a new logistics complex, local entrepreneurs will be able to expand their assortment on the online platform and sell their goods in all countries where the company operates.

According to the press release, the number of Belarusian entrepreneurs selling their goods through Wildberries nearly doubled to 14,100 in 2022. Sales of Belarusian products through the platform also doubled over the year to 27.7 billion rubles.

Wildberries is Russia's largest online retailer in terms of sales, and has been operating in Belarus since 2012. The company had previously opened two logistics centers in Belarus in Minsk and Gomel.
