Russia registers 12,301 new cases of Covid-19, 41 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ
MOSCOW. Feb 9 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 12,301 new cases of Covid-19, which is the biggest number since late October 2022, and 41 related deaths in the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Thursday.
Russia "has recorded 12,301 new cases of Covid-19 and 1,389 patients have been hospitalized over the day, down 0.3% from the day before," the headquarters said.
According to the headquarters, the number of hospitalizations increased in 36 Russian constituent territories, declined in 38, and remained unchanged in 11.
The daily morbidity has grown by 1,912 cases from 10,389 recorded on Wednesday. This is the highest morbidity seen since October 16, 2022, when Russia reported over 12,300 infections.
Forty-one patients died from Covid-19 over the past day, versus 44 the day before.
"Another 8,685 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours, up 7.2% from February 8," the headquarters said.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Russia has seen a total of 22,035,133 of Covid-19, including 395,447 deaths and 21,410,128 recoveries.
