IAEA monitoring missions undergo rotation at Ukrainian NPPs - State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine

MOSCOW. Feb 7 (Interfax) - Permanent monitoring missions of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) underwent rotation at the Zaporozhye and South Ukrainian nuclear power plants on February 6 and at the Rovno and Chernobyl nuclear power plants on February 4, the Ukrainian media said on Tuesday with the reference to the website of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine.

Acting Inspectorate Chairman, Ukrainian chief nuclear and radiation safety inspector Oleg Korikov underlined the importance of documenting every impact on nuclear and radiation safety by the missions, the website said.

The IAEA deployed permanent monitoring missions at every Ukrainian NPP at a formal request of the Ukrainian government.
