Ukrainian Rada extends martial law, mobilization
MOSCOW. Feb 7 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada has voted in favor of extending martial law and general mobilization by another 90 days, Ukrainian media reported on Tuesday with reference to Yaroslav Zheleznyak, a member of the Golos parliamentary faction.
"This has been the sixth parliamentary voting for martial law. The Rada previously approved such decisions on February 24, March 15, April 21, August 15, and November 16 [2022]," Zheleznyak wrote on social media.
On Monday, President Vladimir Zelensky sent bills to the Rada to approve the extension of martial law and general mobilization by 90 days starting 5:30 a.m. February 19, 2023.
