Kirkuk-Ceyhan oil pipeline in Kurdistan Region suspends operations because of earthquake - media

DUBAI. Feb 7 (Interfax) - The authorities of the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, have suspended operations of the Kirkuk-Ceyhan oil pipeline, which connects Iraq with Turkey, in order to inspect it following the massive earthquake that struck Turkey, Spain's EFE news agency reported on Monday.

According to the EFE news agency, Kurdistan's Natural Resources Ministry explained that the decision is in order "to ensure the safety of oil exports and eliminate the possibility of accidents".

The authorities explained that operations would resume along the pipeline once the experts have completed the inspection.
