SOCAR, Romgaz sign 1 bln cubic meter gas delivery contract for 2023-2024

BAKU. Feb 3 (Interfax) - State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and Romania's Romgaz S.A. signed a contract Friday for gas supplies from Azerbaijan to Romania for 2023-2024.

"An agreement on the supply of gas from Azerbaijan to Romania in an amount of up to 1 billion cubic meters during 2023-2024 was signed on February 3 as part of the ninth meeting of the Advisory Council on the Southern Gas Corridor project," SOCAR said in a statement.

According to the company, this agreement is a continuation of the documents signed between SOCAR and Romgaz S.A. on December 19, 2022.
