Former Holcim plants to work in Russia under Cementum brand

KALUGA. Feb 2 (Interfax) - The new owners of Russian assets of the Swiss company Holcim have changed the brand to Cementum, the company said on its website.

"The shift to the Russian brand Cementum is the beginning of a new, completely independent stage in corporate development," the statement said.

The rebranding was envisaged by an agreement with local management on the transfer of Russian assets.

Holcim decided to leave Russia in March. Back then, the Russian assets were deconsolidated from corporate reports.

Holcim makes cement, non-metallic materials and concrete. In Russia, the company was managing four cement plants in the Moscow region (Voskresensk and Kolomna), the Kaluga region (Ferzikovo) and the Saratov region (Volsk), in addition to three non-metallic material quarries in Karelia within LafargeHolcim Group. The company has about 1,800 employees in Russia.
