NNK estimates cost of moving tank farm outside Vladivostok at 100 bln rubles - authorities

VLADIVOSTOK. Feb 1 (Interfax) - Independent Oil and Gas Company (NNK) estimates the cost of moving the existing tank farm currently located in Vladivostok to outside the city at 100 billion rubles, Vladivostok Mayor Konstantin Shestakov said on Wednesday at a meeting on developing the Vladivostok metropolitan area, which was chaired by Yuri Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister and Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far East Federal District.

"We held working meetings with the owners of the tank farm (...), and there is no easy solution for its removal today. The company itself is calculating compensation, and as they see it for a possible move. Thus far, these amounts are significant. The preliminary calculation was a little over 100 billion rubles. We understand that we are still at the beginning stage. We would ask to do further work on the matter," Shestakov said.

Japan's Nikken Sekkei in 2022 developed a master plan for Vladivostok that included recommendations for moving the tank farm outside the city and building a business center in its place.
