Kuwait invited to join Grain from Ukraine program, asked to increase aid for Ukraine - Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW. Jan 31 (Interfax) - Kuwait is at one with Ukraine, Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Mansour Al-Otaibi said during a phone call with Ukrainian Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa Maxim Subkh on Monday.

"The parties exchanged views on the prospects for intensifying cooperation between Ukraine and Kuwait in politics and the economy. Kuwait was also invited to take part in the Grain from Ukraine program and projects for the restoration of Ukraine," Ukrainian media said, citing the Foreign Ministry's website.

Subkh also thanked Kuwait for its government's decision to send humanitarian assistance for the needs of Ukraine's energy sector and asked Kuwait to increase such aid if possible.
