Ukraine began exporting livestock products to over 10 countries in 2022

MOSCOW. Jan 31 (Interfax) - Ukraine's State Food Safety and Consumer Service and Foreign Ministry agreed 22 forms of international veterinary certificates for the export of Ukrainian livestock products to 12 countries.

In particular, last year Ukraine began exporting semi-finished meat products to the Albanian market, snails to Georgia, milk and dairy products to the Dominican Republic, ornamental freshwater fish, live rabbits, pet chews, fresh and processed leathers and hides to Israel, poultry and poultry products to Canada, and milk and dairy products to Kenya, Ukrainian media said, citing the service's press release circulated on Monday.

Permits were also received for the export of Ukrainian pet chews and raw and canned pet food to North Macedonia, the export of pet food to Singapore, chicken hatching eggs and canned and processed pet food to Serbia, animal fiber processing products (not for human consumption) and fish products to Turkey, table eggs to Pakistan, and meat products and semi-finished meat products to Montenegro.

The number of animal product manufacturers entitled to export their products to the European Union reached 432 as of late 2022, 53 more than at the beginning of the year, the service said. Twenty-three enterprises received this right in 2021.

"This positive dynamics accompanied by an increase in the number of Ukrainian exporters to the European market is extremely important in light the EU candidate status granted to Ukraine. This work will continue non-stop, and this figure will grow on a daily basis as we fulfill the requirements of the Association Agreement with the EU as part of our EU accession commitments," it said.
