Ukraine and Armenia to develop Odessa-based Ukrainian-Armenian Int'l School

MOSCOW. Jan 31 (Interfax) - The education ministers of Ukraine and Armenia have signed a memorandum of intent to develop a Ukrainian-Armenian International School.

"A few days ago, Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Sergei Shkarlet and Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia Zhanna Andreasyan and head of the St. Gregory the Illuminator Charitable Organization Suren Sardanyan signed a memorandum of intent to develop the Ukrainian-Armenian International School," Ukrainian media said, citing the website of Ukraine's Education Ministry

The school has been built by the Armenian community of Odessa and is expected to open in September 2023, it said.

During the talks, the parties discussed steps to broaden the educational space for Ukrainian students to provide opportunities for developing and unleashing the potential of every child.

The Ukrainian-Armenian International School has been established with the aim of enhancing cooperation in education, professional experience exchanges and in-depth studies of the cultural heritage and scientific achievements of Ukraine and Armenia, according to the report.

A scientific and creative center for children, which will closely cooperate with Armenia's Tumo Center for Creative Technologies, will also be set up at the school.
