Anti-corruption efforts critical for increasing foreign aid to Ukraine - G7 ambassadors

MOSCOW. Jan 30 (Interfax) - Efforts against corruption are of critical importance for Ukraine's post-crisis recovery, the ambassadors of the Group of 7 countries to Ukraine said in a statement on social media following a meeting with chief of the Ukrainian National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) Alexander Novikov.

"G7 Ambassadors met the Head of [NACP] Novikov and were briefed on anti-corruption policy and legislation. We emphasized the critical importance of tackling corruption, including in the context of increased foreign aid and during Ukraine's recovery and reconstruction," Ukrainian media quoted the ambassadors as saying in their statement.
