Ukrainian govt appoints Mustafa Nayyem head of Restoration Agency

MOSCOW. Jan 30 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian government has appointed Mustafa Nayyem head of the State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine.

"Mustafa Nayyem has been appointed head of the new Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Projects. The government resolution says he will be transferred from a deputy minister's position to the agency and take charge of a major area of work," the Ukrainian media quoted Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration, Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development Alexander Kubrakov as saying on a social media.

In his words, the agency head has been tasked with launching the first reconstruction projects, elaborating a mechanism of interaction with donors - national governments, international financial institutions and non-governmental organizations, and coordinating requests from regions for priority reconstruction projects.

Government Representative in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnichuk said that Yevgeny Kuzkin, former head of the State Agency of Motor Roads of Ukraine, was appointed deputy head of the State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development.
