MOSCOW. Jan 30 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian government has proposed that the Verkhovna Rada ratify its agreements with the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) regarding privileges, immunity and preferences enjoyed by the OECD and its office in Ukraine.

The government made the decision at a meeting on Friday, the Ukrainian media said with the reference to a statement made by Government Representative in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnichuk on a social network.

The bill aims at addressing the issues associated with or arising in connection with the establishment and proper functioning of the OECD office in Ukraine.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal noted at the meeting that the opening of the OECD office was important for forming a large coalition of countries and organizations and the prompt, quality implementation of the Ukraine recovery plan.
