Tatneft discovers two small fields near assets in Tatarstan

MOSCOW. Jan 26 (Interfax) - PJSC Tatneft has received licenses for the Vostochno-Taktashsky and Kukuevsky hydrocarbon blocks in Tatarstan, and the corresponding information has been entered in the state registry of subsoil plots and licenses.

The company has the right to explore and extract minerals, including to use extraction waste and related processing output, until December 31, 2042.

The Natural Resources Ministry has clarified to Interfax that the blocks have been presented to Tatneft for exploitation in connection with having established discovery of fields. Geological C1 oil reserves at the Vostochno-Taktashskoye field total 1.753 million tonnes, and recoverable reserves total 386,000 tonnes. The Kukuevskoye field has estimated C1 reserves totaling 925,000 tonnes, and C2 reserves totaling 2.574 million tonnes, of which 268,000 tonnes and 746,000 tonnes, respectively, are recoverable.

According to the Federal Subsoil Resources Management Agency (Rosnedra), both locations are adjacent to the Tlyanchi-Tamak zone, for which Tatneft also owns the license. South-Fergana, another Tatneft block, is located close to the Vostochno-Taktashsky block.
