IAEA completes inspection at Rovno NPP

MOSCOW. Jan 26 (Interfax) - An International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) mission has successfully completed an inspection at the Rovno Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) conducted from January 22 to 24, 2023 in line with the IAEA's agreement with Ukraine and the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.

"The inspection was carried out by the agency's inspectors, and an inspector from the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine [SNRIU] also took part in it," Ukrainian media reported with reference to the SNRIU on Wednesday.

The inspection was aimed at confirming the absence of undeclared nuclear materials and reviewing information on the construction of the nuclear installation presented by Ukraine in line with the agreement.

"The inspectors did not report any irregularities," the SNRIU said.
