Preventive power outages in Kiev and in Kiev, Dnepropetrovsk, and Odessa regions - DTEK

MOSCOW. Jan 26 (Interfax) - Emergency power outages occurred in the city of Kiev and in the Kiev, Odessa, and Dnepropetrovsk regions due to a risk of damage on Thursday, Ukrainian media have reported with reference to the DTEK energy holding company.

"This is an involuntary preventive step to avoid substantial damage to the power infrastructure," DTEK said in a statement on social media.

Due to damage caused to the energy infrastructure in the Odessa region on Thursday, the region might experience emergency outages for several days, Ukrainian media have reported with reference to DTEK.
