Russian winemaker Ariant sets up IT company

KRASNODAR. Jan 26 (Interfax) - Ariant Group, one of Russia's largest wine producers, has set up an information technology company, the group's press service said.

"Ariant Digital Solutions Center (Ariant DSC, Chelyabinsk) has become the fifth company within the group. It will work on introducing and developing technologies and digital solutions aimed at all-round support for the Internet projects and computer systems of group subsidiaries: the Kuban Vino winery and agribusiness Yuzhnaya located in Krasnodar Territory, as well as Chelyabinsk-based Ariant Food Industry Center and agribusiness Ariant," the group said.

The launch of the IT project is a continuation of the group's digital development strategy, the group said, adding that it is rolling out the latest information technologies, automating processes, and using artificial intelligence in agriculture and production of meat, sausage, beverages and other products under its brands.

Ariant has vineyards on the Taman Peninsula and in Anapa. The group has more than 13,100 hectares of agricultural land, including 9,700 hectares of vineyards. The group increased its grape harvest by 32% to a record 110,000 tonnes in 2022.

Ariant Group of Companies LLC is equally owned by Alexander and Yelena Kretov, according to data from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities as of January 26, 2023.
