Sberbank puts own ATM software on ministry registry

MOSCOW. Jan 26 (Interfax) - Sberbank's InterSphere software for managing ATM networks and their work with cash has been included in the registry of Russian software, the bank said.

"Sber is the only Russian bank that has developed and registered its own software for bank machines in the registry of the Digital Development Ministry of Russia. Eighty percent of our ATM software operates on InterSphere and we are pleased to offer our product to the market. This will help reduce dependence on foreign vendors, decrease servicing costs, and increase the accessibility and security of the ATM network," Sberbank first deputy CEO Alexander Vedyakhin was quoted as saying by the bank's press service.

In addition to ATMs, the software can manage ticket systems, cash e-tellers and deposit machines. InterSphere is compatible with various operating systems, including Linux.

In July 2022, the Industry and Trade Ministry included the SAGA S-200ATM bank machine in the registry of domestic equipment. The ATM, which is built primarily from domestic components and operates on Russian software, is now being tested at six banks.
