Zelensky: Ukraine has had no intention to attack Belarus

MOSCOW. Jan 25 (Interfax) - Ukraine did not plan to attack Belarus and is not planning to do it, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said when commenting on Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko's remarks that the Ukrainian authorities offered him to sign "a non-aggression pact".

"We were not going to and are not going to attack Belarus. This is the main signal from the entire Ukrainian people to the Belarusian people," Ukrainian media quoted Zelensky as saying at a press conference with Finnish President Sauli Niinisto in Kiev on Tuesday.

Lukashenko said earlier that the Ukrainian authorities had proposed concluding "a non-aggression pact". He also added that Minsk continues to face threats coming from Western countries.
