Zelensky says hoping Finland supports Ukraine's entry into NATO

MOSCOW. Jan 25 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has said he is hoping that Finland will support the Ukrainian aspiration for entry into NATO.

"We support Finland and Sweden on their way to the Alliance, the affiliation to the most powerful security platform currently in existence. Considering our support for those steps today, we would like not to travel this road alone tomorrow," the Ukrainian media quoted Zelensky as saying at a press conference in Kiev on Tuesday, after a meeting with Finnish President Sauli Niinisto.

"I would like to thank you for the special attitude to our people. This is huge humanitarian assistance, the provision of necessary asylum in your country. I highly appreciate that," Zelensky said.
