Ukraine has enough resources to get through winter - PM Shmygal

MOSCOW. Jan 24 (Interfax) - Ukraine has enough resources to get through the heating season this winter, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said.

"We have enough resources to continue and finish the heating season in routine mode. We have about 11 billion cubic meters of gas in gas storage facilities and nearly 1.2 million tonnes of coal at stores," Ukrainian media quoted Shmygal as saying at a government meeting on Tuesday.

The Ukrainian government issued a directive on January 23 authorizing the Naftogaz of Ukraine state company to receive nearly 189 million euros in a grant from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to import extra amounts of gas, he said.
