France supplies batch of generators to Ukraine

MOSCOW. Jan 23 (Interfax) - France has supplied 181 generators to Kharkov as part of a humanitarian mission, the Ukrainian media said with the reference to the press service for the Kharkov City Council.

"A French delegation has arrived in Kharkov on a humanitarian mission, in course of which it presented the city with 181 generators purchased with donations by French private entrepreneurs," the media said.

Kharkov Mayor Igor Terekhov met with French Charge d'Affaires ad interim to Ukraine Benjamin Roerig on Friday, January 20, to thank the French people for their active support.

"Over the past 11 months, you have sent tonnes of humanitarian aid and medicines to the city residents, and now you are making a tangible contribution to mitigation of the energy crisis. Hopefully, we will be rebuilding our city together in the future," Terekhov said.

The statement says that some generators would soon be supplied to Kharkov public utility enterprises, which are making repairs.
