Russia to start discussing supplies of petroleum products to Pakistan after Feb 5 - Shulginov

ISLAMABAD. Jan 20 (Interfax) - Russia plans to start discussing the supply of petroleum products to Pakistan after February 5, Russian Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov told reporters.

"We have intentionally not mentioned petroleum products, because we have to wait until February 5, when the matter regarding the price cap becomes clear. Then we will supplement the agreement that we are developing with matters related to supplying petroleum products," Shulginov said when answering why the agreement between the two countries did not include a clause on petroleum products.

As previously reported, the price cap on exported Russian petroleum products enters into force on February 5, though the European Union has still not set the price cap levels to take into consideration particularly the methodology for differentiating the types of petroleum products.
