In particular, Russian companies are interested in railway engineering projects and the modernization of Pakistan's railways.

Russian companies are also ready to "consider participation in the modernization of the metallurgical plant in Karachi following its privatization, and to consider providing it with and possibly supplying it with Russian metals."

The commission also discussed cooperation in the chemical industry and medicine.

"Russia is ready to increase supplies of chemical products. Our colleagues' information about the zero import duty on chloroform was positive news - this is an important Russian export. During our negotiations, we said it was important to continue to develop cooperation in pharmaceuticals and medical equipment. We are talking about mutual supplies of these products," Tarasyuk said.
