Baku ready to hold earlier postponed meeting of Azerbaijani, Armenian, Russian FMs

BAKU. Jan 20 (Interfax) - Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has announced Baku's readiness to hold a trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia.

"We stand ready to hold the trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia, which was postponed, as soon as possible," Bayramov told reporters on Friday, adding that "now everything depends on the opposite side."

Advancing a peaceful agenda has always been Azerbaijan's initiative, "and all of our fundamental principles [for normalizing relations] have been presented to Armenia," he said.

When commenting on the Lachin road situation, Bayramov reiterated the unacceptability of using it to transport mines and ammunition.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said on Thursday that the Armenian side has been using the Lachin road to transport mines, weapons, munitions and troops for more than two years after the end of the second Karabakh war.
