Possible Russian gas supplies to Kazakhstan included in cooperation roadmap - Kazakh govt
ASTANA. Jan 19 (Interfax) - The possibility of Russian gas supplies to Kazakhstan has been included in the roadmap for cooperation in the gas industry, the press service of the Kazakh government said in a statement.
Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar held a meeting in St. Petersburg with Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller on January 18 to discuss bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia in the gas sector, according to the statement.
"The negotiations resulted in the signing of a roadmap that specifies main directions for cooperation between the two countries, including the processing of Kazakh gas at the Orenburg Gas and Processing Plant, the possibility of Russian gas supplies to Kazakhstan and other potential areas of cooperation," the statement says.
The meeting was also attended by Kazakh Ambassador to Russia Yermek Kosherbayev, Kazakh Minister of Energy Bolat Akchulakov and QazaqGaz CEO Sanzhar Zharkeshov.
