Armenian FM to attend diplomatic forum in Turkey

YEREVAN. Jan 18 (Interfax) - Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said he will go to Turkey to attend a diplomatic forum.

"I will attend a diplomatic forum in Antalya at the invitation of the Turkish Foreign Ministry. Presumably, there will be a meeting and a discussion. It's very important for the continuation and development of dialogue, for the achievement of substantive results," he said in the parliament on Wednesday.

Armenia and Turkey do not have diplomatic relations. The border has been closed since 1993 on Ankara's initiative over the Karabakh conflict.

Special representatives of Armenia and Turkey on normalization of relations between Ankara and Yerevan earlier had two meetings, in Moscow and Vienna.

Mirzoyan attended a diplomatic forum last year.
