Estimate of investments by Lisin's Rumelko in farms in Altai increases 1.4-fold

MOSCOW. Jan 18 (Interfax) - The total volume of investments in the construction of a cattle breeding complex of Rumelko holding (controlled by the principal owner of NLMK Vladimir Lisin) in Altai is estimated at 7 billion rubles, the Altai Territory Agriculture Ministry's press service said in a statement.

In the summer of 2021, regional governor Viktor Tomenko said that investments in the project would amount to 5 billion rubles. As such, the cost of the project has increased 1.4-fold.

The press service for the ministry said that at the moment cattle-breeding sites, a feed mill with a capacity of up to 100 tons per hour have already been built, and a feed base is being formed.

"The enterprise has received all the necessary equipment. Now it is actively being installed. Specialists are installing one milking parlor and preparation of the site for the installation of the second one is nearing completion," the statement said.

Blinovskoye LLC (belonging to LLC Rumelko) is engaged in construction of a cattle-breeding complex for 6,000 cows in the Zarinsk region of the Altai Territory. The production capacity of the complex will be 30,000 tonnes of raw milk a year. It is envisaged that the enterprise will reach its designed capacity in H2 2023.

In 2021 Sergey Sheryshev, the general director of Rumelko LLC, said that by 2024 the company will invest 20 billion rubles in dairy projects in the Altai Territory and the Tver and Kaluga regions. The total capacity of the enterprises will be 200,000 tonnes of milk a year. The commissioning of the complexes was planned for 2022-2023.
