Plans of increasing Russian-Chinese trade turnover to $250 bln absolutely realistic - Kremlin

MOSCOW. Jan 17 (Interfax) - The Kremlin has affirmed positive dynamics in the growth of Russia-China trade and has described the goal of $250-billion annual trade turnover as realistic.

"The growth dynamics are very high to the satisfaction of both Moscow and Beijing," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Tuesday.

The number of areas of Russia-China interaction is constantly growing, he said.

"China is our major ally and trade and economic partner, and we are set to develop this cooperation. The aforesaid horizon of $250 billion is absolutely realistic. Hopefully, it will be achieved and surpassed shortly," Peskov said.
